Northwestern College Plans Indoor Training Center
ORANGE CITY, Iowa (AP) - Northwestern College in Orange City has announced plans to raise $2 million for an indoor practice and training facility for its student-athletes.
Officials say the private college of about 1,200 students plans to build a facility with more than 33,000 square feet of space. The structure will include a multipurpose area for team practices, batting and pitching cages, a putting green and weight room.
Earl Woudstra, assistant director of athletics, says the new facility should free up space in the college's fitness area, which now serves all students and community members.
