North Liberty Library Fully Reopens After Expansion

By Katie Stinson

NORTH LIBERTY, Iowa - After 5 years of renovations and $3.4 million dollars, the North Liberty Community Library is once again fully open. The expansion added a teen lounge, a children's story time space, meeting rooms, and updated technology. A grand opening party took place earlier today where there were refreshments to eat, tours to take in, and giveaways to take home. Library leaders hope the expanded library can provide people with whatever they're looking for.

"Just a spot to gather information, whatever that need is. And that's not only studying or researching but whatever they need to fulfill, we hope they can come in and find it here," Jennie Garner, Assistant Library Director said.

This is the 26th year the North Liberty Community Library has been open.
