MANCHESTER, Iowa - A new trial date has been set for a Manchester teen charged with the murder of his grandparents.

17-year-old Isaiah Sweet's trial will start October 16 in Delaware County. Sweet was charged with two counts of first-degree murder last May for the deaths of his grandparents, Rick and Janet Sweet.

19-year-old Brandon Ahlers will be in court May 22. Ahlers is charged with two counts of aiding and abetting murder.

Prosecutors say Sweet shot and killed his grandparents. Relatives discovered their bodies on May 13 when they came over for Mother's Day. Sweet's grandparents had custody over him.
