CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Just days after Governor Terry Branstad announced he will seek a 6th term in office, the Democratic opposition will soon pick up.

Former Polk County Democratic Party Co-Chair Jonathan Narcisse plans to announce his campaign for the 2014 Democratic nomination for Governor.

Narcisse will, formally enter the race Monday at 9:00 a.m. at the African-American Museum of Iowa in Cedar Rapids.

In 2010, Narcisse ran as an independent candidate, picking up about 20,000 votes in the November general election -- a little more than 1%.
