MONONA, Iowa - Family and friends of an injured Monona girl are organizing a balloon launch in her honor.

Investigators say 18-month old Myah Larson remains in the hospital after suffering severe head trauma. Doctors told the family her injuries are consistent with shaken baby syndrome.

At noon on Saturday August 10th, her family plans to release pink balloons in front of the Monona City Hall.

Police have been trying to find 21-year-old Troy Laufenberg since Myah was injured in mid July. He's wanted on charges of child endangerment and several drug charges.

The search has included Dubuque, but so far police say there's been no sign of him.
