EAST DUBUQUE, Illinois - Heavy rains from Minnesota and Wisconsin have pushed the Mississippi River two feet above flood stage.

The extra water has caused some moderate flooding in East Dubuque.

Several homes on Lake Lacoma Road and Basten Road have received flood damage.

The river is predicted to crest tomorrow at nearly three feet above flood stage.

Dubuque’s harbor will likely stay closed all weekend because of flooding on the Mississippi River.

The city has shut off floodgates to protect the harbor, which is home to the Mystique Casino, Convention Center and Mississippi River Museum.
