DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - A report says home sales and prices rose last year in Iowa.

The Des Moines Register reports that Iowa sales grew 8 percent and prices climbed 5.5 percent in 2013.

A report by the Iowa Association of Realtors says the median sale price rose to nearly $132,500 from nearly $126,000 in 2012.

The report says sales and prices stagnated during the recession and started to rebound in 2012.

Homes spent an average of 88 days on the market last year, down from 102 days in 2012.
