Matthew 25 Scheduling Summer Volunteer Work

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - A Cedar Rapids nonprofit says it's ready to help work on summer projects in the community.

Matthew 25 coordinates jobs for volunteers throughout the year. Now, they're gearing up for their busy summer season. In June, more than 100 volunteers will be in town from a church in Naperville, Illinois.
Several other mission groups will also be in the city and scheduling jobs for those groups is already underway.

"We're identifying projects that may be possible for any of these mission groups to complete," Volunteer and Project Coordinator, Don Taylor, said.

Jobs for the volunteers can include anything from painting projects to remodeling, Taylor said. They also have workers at their urban farms throughout the year.
