MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (AP) — A 27-year-old Marshalltown man who pleaded guilty to setting two fires has been given 25 years in prison.
Andrew Burke was charged in February with first- and second-degree arson for a Feb. 7 fire that destroyed a historic downtown building with a grocery store and in another fire that damaged a garage on Feb. 16.
Burke was sentenced on Monday to two consecutive 10-year terms for arson and five years more for violating probation on a theft conviction.
