MECHANICSVILLE, Iowa - A Marion woman was airlifted to a hospital Monday morning after her car crossed the center line and collided with an oncoming truck, authorities said.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, Christine A. Kadura, 46, was eastbound on Highway 30 just east of Mechanicsville around 11:35 a.m. when her car collided with a westbound Ryder truck driven by Richard L. Barta, 53, of Atkins. The crash caused a detour on Highway 30.
Kadura, who authorities said was wearing her seat belt, was airlifted to St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids for treatment of her injuries. Information about her medical condition was not immediately available. Barta was not hurt.
Kadura was cited for driving on the wrong side of a two-lane highway, authorities said.
