DUBUQUE, Iowa - A Montana man is walking across the United States with hopes of raising money for members of the military.

Chuck Lewis stopped in Dubuque today to visit members of the Veteran's Freedom Center. He left Washington state on Easter Sunday and has been walking ever since.

"In my opinion there's only one true one percent of this country who cares about it enough to put their life on the line. It's the military, your firefighters, your police and first responders in general," Lewis said.

Lewis, a veteran himself, expects to complete his walk by late September, ending in Washington D.C.
