Man Survives Rollover on I-380 Near Center Point

CENTER POINT, Iowa - A man survived after rolling his car three times on Interstate 380 Friday morning, authorities said.

Officials responded around 8:30 a.m. to a single-vehicle accident on I-380 near the Center Point exit. According to authorities, the driver said he fell asleep at the wheel, causing him to go into the embankment and roll multiple times.

The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle, and was partially out of the vehicle and conscious when authorities arrived.

The driver, whose name was not released, was taken to a hospital for what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries, authorities said. No one else was injured.

The accident remains under investigation.
