CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - A man shot by a Cedar Falls police officer early Christmas morning was arrested Monday and faces charges related to the incident.

Zachary Lee Church, 27, of Parkersburg, was arrested Monday upon his release from Sartori Hospital in Cedar Falls. He faces two charges for Assault Against a Peace Officer and Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver. Both charges are class D felonies.

During the subsequent investigation into the shooting, evidence was obtained that led to drug charges being filed.
