IOWA CITY, Iowa - A 62-year-old Iowa City man accused of threatening a 12-year-old with a gun Friday said he's not ready to plead guilty.

Kevin Shannon made the statement at his plea hearing Friday morning.

Prosecutors said back in May, Shannon pulled a gun on a boy who had offered to mow Shannon's lawn. They said Shannon told the boy no, but gave him $10 anyway. Moments later Shannon allegedly caught up with the boy and, while pointing a gun, demanded the money back, prosecutors said.

Shannon faces six criminal charges, including first degree robbery. He's due back in court April 25th.
