Man Pleads Guilty to Transporting Minors for Prostitution
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - A Wisconsin man has pleaded guilty to transporting minors to Cedar Rapids for the purpose of prostitution.
The U.S. Attorney's office said Robert Jackson, 31, from Milwaukee, admitted that on July 16th, he transported two females from Milwaukee to Cedar Rapids to have them engage in prostitution. The girls were each under 18 years of age.
Jackson faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in prison and a possible maximum sentence of life imprisonment, a $250,000 fine, $100 in special assessments, and five years of supervised release.
Authorities have not set a sentencing date. Jackson remains in custody.
