Man Pleads Guilty in Federal Court to Robbery of Williamsburg Bank in 2010

CEDAR RAPIDS - A 36-year-old man pleaded guilty Tuesday in federal court to robbing a bank in Williamsburg.
Ryan Jack Randles pleaded guilty to one count of bank robbery during which he assaulted another person with a dangerous weapon. At the plea hearing, Randles admitted he robbed the Keokuk County State Bank Oct. 20, 2010 in Williamsburg. During the robbery, Randles assaulted the vice president of the bank with a pellet gun.
Randles was previously convicted in Iowa County for robbing the Best Western hotel in Williamsburg on Oct. 19, 2010.
Randles faces up to 25 years in federal prison and $250,000 fine. Sentencing hasn't been set at this time.
