Man Injured Following Snowmobile Crash in Linn County

  • Photo
LINN COUNTY, Iowa - A 42-year-old Coggon man is recovering at University Hospitals in Iowa City after losing control of his snowmobile in Linn County.

It happened yesterday evening just after 5:00 p.m. in a farm field just east of North Marion Road, about a half mile north of Central City Road.
First responders initially took Shawn VanDivier to St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids for what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries, but later had to take him to University of Iowa Hospitals in Clinics for further treatment.

VanDivier's latest condition is unknown. Investigators are still trying to pinpoint a cause.
