Man Faces Charges in Car Shooting
CORNING, Iowa (AP) — A southern Iowa man faces multiple charges in connection to a vehicle shooting.
The state Division of Criminal Investigation says 32-year-old Peter Wiley, of Creston, was arrested Wednesday morning.
Authorities say Wiley shot at a woman Tuesday night in Corning as she was driving. He is also accused of leading a police car chase Wednesday morning that ended with Wiley's car sliding into a ditch and Wiley suffering burns to his hands.
Wiley is charged with attempted murder and going armed with intent in Adams County, where the alleged car shooting took place. He faces additional charges in Union County of felon in possession of a firearm, eluding and hit and run.
Wiley is a suspect in a separate shooting Tuesday in Page County. Records do not list an attorney.
