BUCHANAN COUNTY, Iowa - Buchanan County Sheriff's Deputies say a man died after he fell from a grain trailer at an area farm. Deputies were dispatched to the home at 3325 330th Street near Coggon at around 2:15 p.m. Monday. When they arrived they found 75-year-old Donald Reilly, unconscious on the ground.

Officials say Reilly was walking on top of a grain trailer that was parked next to a grain bin when he fell to the ground. He was transported to St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids before he was transferred to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He was pronounced dead a short time after he arrived at UIHC.

Regional Medical Center Ambulance and the Troy Mills Fire Department assisted the Buchanan County Sheriff's Office on this call.
