Man Convicted of Indecent Exposure at YMCA
MASON CITY, Iowa (AP) — A Mason City man has been convicted of indecent exposure at a local YMCA.
A judge announced the verdict Wednesday on two counts of indecent exposure in the bench trial of 69-year-old Dennis Vrba.
Prosecutors say Vrba committed sex acts in the sauna of the Mason City Family YMCA on two separate occasions in July 2012.
Two other men, 56-year-old David Escher and 68-year-old Douglas Petersen, were given deferred judgments on one count each of indecent exposure. The men were accused of committing sex acts in one incident in July 2012.
Escher and Petersen were sentenced to one-year probation and required to register as sex offenders for 10 years.
The Mason City Globe Gazette reports sentencing for Vrba is scheduled for Oct. 30.
