CLINTON, Iowa (AP) — A Clinton man has been charged with the slaying of a 27-year-old Sabula woman whose body was found more than two weeks after she disappeared in October 2008.
The Clinton County Sheriff's Office says 47-year-old Andy Cole has been charged with the first-degree murder of Alysia Marburger and is being held on $500,000 bail.
Marburger's body was found near cabins in Camanche on Oct. 24, 2008. Her parents had reported her missing on Oct. 8, 2008.
A court affidavit says Cole told an investigator that he had sex with Marburger in her car early on Oct. 7, and then she dropped him off near his home.
Cole's next hearing is scheduled for Aug. 3. Online court records don't list the name of Cole's attorney.
