LINN COUNTY, Iowa - Two people are in jail following a chase through Linn County Saturday evening.

At approximately 6:40 p.m., a Linn County Sheriff's Deputy attempted to stop a car in the 900 block of Sisley Grove Rd. Authorities say the driver did not stop and proceeded east on Highway 30, south on Highway 151 then onto Dean Road.

Investigators say the driver, Michael Fekete, 42, of Cedar Rapids, pulled into an apartment parking lot and took off on foot. A deputy caught him an placed him under arrest for eluding, driving while barred, possession of a controlled substance and other traffic related charges. Fekete also had an outstanding warrant for driving while barred.

A passenger in the vehicle, Leilani Yvette Irvine-Bolton, 41, or Hiawatha, was also arrested for interference with official acts and a drug related offense.

The chase remains under investigation by the Linn County Sheriff's Office.
