CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Jury selection begins this morning in a sex exploitation trial involving a former Cedar Rapids high school teacher. 42 year-old Heather Adams was a chemistry teacher at Cedar Rapids Washington High School.

On May 6, 2012 police say they received a call about a suspicious vehicle. When they went to investigate they found Adams having sex with an 18 year old student in the vehicle.

Adams faces a misdemeanor charge of Sexual Exploitation by a School Employee. If convicted, she will have to register as a sex offender for ten years.
