Iowa lake searched for Sioux City man's body

OKOBOJI, Iowa (AP) — Authorities have resumed their search for the body of a 35-year-old Sioux City man who is presumed to have drowned in West Lake Okoboji in northwest Iowa.

The Dickinson County Sheriff's Office says Juan Miguel Gonzalez was reported missing about 5 p.m. Sunday. He reportedly jumped from a boat into the water but didn't return to the surface.

A dive team and other officers are involved in searching of about 90 surface acres. The water is 40 feet deep in spots.
