Iowa Woman Accused of Embezzling from Drug Center
MASON CITY, Iowa (AP) — A northern Iowa woman has been charged with stealing from a drug treatment center while she worked there.
Authorities say 43-year-old Tracy Hassman, of Nora Springs, was arrested last week and charged with stealing more than $10,000 from Prairie Ridge Addiction and Treatment Services of Mason City while employed there. Authorities say Hassman took the money between June 2006 and October 2012.
Hassman has bonded out of jail. She didn't immediately return a message Tuesday from The Associated Press. Online court records don't list the name of her attorney.
Her next court appearance is scheduled for March 27.
