COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio police say an Iowa native on his way back to Virginia from a high school class reunion in Cedar Rapids was shot by two teens at a truck stop Saturday.

According to the ABC affiliate in Columbus, Ohio, WSYX, Devonere Simmonds, 17, and Nathaniel Brunner, 18, were looking for a ride to Columbus Saturday morning before police say they shot William Rudd at the Travel America, just outside Columbus.

Rudd was listed in serious condition at Grant Medical Center.

Both teens were being held at the Franklin County Jail. They are facing murder charges in connection with the shooting death of a store clerk in Columbus Wednesday night, according to WSYX.
