Iowa Man to be Sentenced for Having Homemade Bomb

By Katie Stinson

CRESCO, Iowa (AP) - A northeast Iowa man is waiting to be sentenced for having a homemade bomb.

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports Bjorn Christian Luster is scheduled to be sentenced in federal court later this month.

Authorities say they found a bomb made with a carbon dioxide cartridge, gunpowder and BBs and nails for shrapnel in Luster's home.

The 34-year-old pleaded guilty to possessing an unregistered destructive device in September.

Luster told investigators that he didn't plan to hurt anyone with the bomb, but he wanted to see it explode.
