KNOXVILLE, Iowa (AP) A July sentencing has been scheduled for a 19-year-old Knoxville man who was accused of helping film his sexual encounter with a 15-year-old girl.
The Des Moines Register reports that Jake Smith has pleaded guilty to two felonies: sexual abuse and sexual exploitation of a minor. His sentencing is scheduled for July 12.
The Knoxville Police Department says several high school students have circulated the video through email and smartphones.
Police say the filming occurred in February in a Knoxville home and that the girl didn't know she was being filmed.
Authorities say two other people involved in the incident have been charged as well.
