KEOKUK, Iowa (AP) - Southeastern Community College plans to expand its Keokuk campus.

Administrators unveiled its plans at a public forum Wednesday. Its priority will be adding a new industrial and manufacturing building.

The Daily Gate City newspaper reports officials also want to relocate the bookstore, expand the cafeteria, improve the kitchen and add new landscaping.

Janet Fife-LaFrenz, who represents Keokuk on the college's Board of Trustees, says the expansion will be funded through a voter-approved bond issue of up to $15 million. She says property taxes will not be affected.

The funding is also expected to help the college's West Burlington campus. Another public forum on the expansion is scheduled Jan. 28 at the Keokuk campus.
