Iowa City Woman's Vehicular Homicide Trial Delayed
IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — The trial of an Iowa City woman charged with vehicular homicide has been pushed back for a sixth time.
The Iowa City Press-Citizen reports 51-year-old Miranda Lalla's trial has been pushed back to October. It was scheduled to begin this week.
Lalla is accused of hitting 44-year-old Pamela Gross with her pickup truck in June 2012. Lalla is accused of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the accident. Investigators say the women, who were friends, got into a physical fight in a parking lot.
A message left for Lalla's attorney was not immediately returned Thursday.
