MIssing Boy Located by Iowa City Police

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Police in Iowa City have located a boy who walked away from school without a coat or jacket Tuesday morning.

The 12-year-old boy walked away from Longfellow Elementary School, promoting an immediate response from the school and police officials.

The child is described as a black male, 5 feet 5 inches tall and 120 pounds, with short hair, according to a news release. He was last seen wearing jeans, a grey hooded sweatshirt with black sleeves and hood and stripes on the front, and red and black high-top athletic shoes.

Shortly after 1:20 p.m. Tuesday, police said that the boy had been located and was safe.
