Iowa City Police Accuse Woman Of Keeping Daughter Around Armed Robber

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Police have arrested the mother of a young child they say was allowed to be around a suspected armed robber.
Joella K. Fogleman, 22, no current address, faces one count of neglect or abandonment of a dependent person.
Iowa City police said Fogleman has allowed her daughter to be in the presence of her boyfriend, who is not identified in the criminal complaint, but is wanted in Illinois for armed robbery. The boyfriend is considered armed and dangerous and was recently released from prison, police said. The daughter is under the age of three, police said.
Fogleman allegedly told police she knew there would be a "violent encounter" when police tracked down her boyfriend because he would run or resist force and possibly force police to shoot him. Police said Fogleman and her daughter have been in her boyfriend's presence several times since the boyfriend has been on the run.
