IOWA CITY, Iowa - Jury selection will continue Thursday morning in the first degree murder trial of Brandon Brown. Brown,28, is on trial for the alleged murder of Donnelle Lindsey, 30, an Iowa City High School graduate.
Jury selection started on Tuesday morning, and as both the prosecution and defense left Wednesday night, no jury had been assembled.
According to police Brown pulled a handgun and shot Lindsey multiple times after an argument outside 2437 Petsel Place.
On Wednesday defense attorneys said that violence and race will play a role in the trial.
Both Lindsey and Brown are black, but there are no African Americans in the potential jury pool.
