IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Iowa City police said a 52-year-old pedestrian was killed by a motorist Saturday night.

According to the Iowa City Police Department, 52-year-old Gregory Bowker of Iowa City was crossing Highway 6 between Sturgis Corner Drive and the bridge when he was hit by 28-year-old Judith Miller of Kalona. Police said Miller was westbound on Highway 6 when she hit Bowker.

Sgt. Vicki Lalla said Miller underwent a blood alcohol breath test at the scene of the accident, and the test showed no alcohol in her system. Miller is not in custody.

The crash remains under investigation.
