Iowa City Man Faces Additional Indecent Exposure Charge
IOWA CITY, Iowa -- A man accused of touching himself across from an Iowa City elementary school faces an additional charge.
According to an Iowa City police criminal complaint, 46-year-old Anthony L. Hudson, of Iowa City, faces an additional charge of indecent exposure, bringing the number up to five. He was arrested earlier this week and charged with four counts of indecent exposure for incidents alleged to have occurred in February, March and April.
Hudson's latest charge pertains to an incident alleged to have occurred on July 23, 2013. The victim reported to police that a white man in a window at 403 E. Jefferson St. was touching himself. The man was using a flashlight to get the victim's attention while they were walking with their 10-year-old daughter. After being arrested earlier this week, Hudson allegedly admitted to using an address on Jefferson Street to commit the crime.
Criminal complaints filed earlier this week state that Hudson touched himself multiple times in the presence of female students at Horn Elementary School. Hudson was using a residence that wasn't his own to commit the alleged crime, police said. This happened on at least three occasions.
Police began surveillance on Hudson and captured him on video on April 1 touching himself while using a strobe flashlight to get the students' attention.
Indecent exposure is a serious misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in prison.
