Iowa City Celebrates Latino Culture
IOWA CITY, Iowa - One of the final festivals to close out the summer season in the Ped Mall in Iowa City Saturday.
People came out to celebrate the Latino Festival today, with plenty of music, dancing, and decorations to help.
Brightly colored dancers used song and dance to teach children about traditional Latin cultures.
The festival also hopes to promote diversity as the Latino population continues to increase in Iowa.
"We want to show everyone, we don't want our culture to get lost just because were in Iowa." said Melissa Pacheco, theLatino Festival director.
