DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — State Republican party leaders say the results of the Iowa caucuses should be certified by the end of the week.

The Des Moines Register says Monday that counties have until the close of business on Wednesday to get official paperwork to the Iowa Republican Party headquarters in Des Moines.

Chairman Matt Strawn says paperwork from 95 counties has arrived. The other four counties' vote totals are en route. He expects the certification process to wrap up by Friday.

Mitt Romney eked out an 8-vote victory over Rick Santorum in the Jan. 3 caucuses. Reports the vote count might be wrong started surfacing.

Iowa GOP Executive Director Chad Olsen says party officials have discovered a few typos — some gave Santorum more votes, while some gave Romney more votes.
