Investigators Say Cassville Fire Was Intentionally Set

CASSVILLE, Wisconsin - A fire that destroyed several buildings in Cassville on April 19th has been ruled an arson.
Cassville's police chief told the Dubuque Telegraph Herald that an investigation revealed the fire was started intentionally.
Authorities say that eight apartments were destroyed and that twelve people were displaced in the fire. No one was injured, but several firefighters were treated for hypothermia.
Public works director Mark Bartels reported the fire during the early morning hours of April 19th while he was monitoring flood-gates along the Mississippi River.
An investigation into the fire continues.
