Investigation Continues for Iowa Lotto Jackpot WinnerBy Kathleen Serino, Reporter
ANKENY, Iowa – Although many have tried to claim the multi-million dollar prize, the investigation continues in the Iowa Lottery winning ticket mystery – the first in its 26-year history.
According to spokesperson Mary Neubauer, officials have had initial discussions with Crawford Shaw, trustee of Hexam Investments Trust – from which a representative had claimed the ticket on his behalf mere hours before the year-old ticket, worth up to $14.3 million, was set to expire Dec. 30. Where the discussions go, and how long it takes to confirm the winner will completely depend on how the investigation proceeds, Neubauer said.
