IOWA CITY, Iowa - Two men were injured on Monday when a FedEx delivery truck they were in veered off Interstate 80 and hit several trees, Iowa State Patrol said.
The FedEx semitrailer was headed east on I-80 about 7:30 a.m. Monday when the driver lost control and entered the south ditch. He hit several trees, according to the crash report. The driver and co-driver, who were both males but have not been identified, were taken to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for evaluation.
It’s unknown what caused the crash, and authorities are still investigating.
The current condition of the two men isn’t known.
The crash snarled traffic and caused back-ups as numerous agencies assisted.
