IOWA CITY, Iowa -- A crash is causing a traffic backup in both eastbound and westbound lanes of Interstate 80 just east of Iowa City.

Department of Transportation and local authorities have reported a number of crashes in Johnson County Friday.

Standstill traffic is reported around the 250 mile marker of I-80 in both directions.

Police in Coralville say icy roads have kept them busy. Extra officers have been utilized to handle the high call volume.
