Artists painted the depression-era murals in 1936, and they've been covered twice because of their controversial images. This second section cost $125,000 to restore. Now that this section is finished, city leaders are eager to uncover the rest of the historic mural.

"The intent is to do the east wall and the west wall as soon as possible depending on funding, in fact we actually have a commitment to the Federal Government that we'll uncover this art," Assistant City Manager Sandi Folwer said.

The City will uncover the next portion of the mural once they've raised enough money to do so.
