CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Part of the Girl Scout promise is to help people at all times and that's what one local Girl Scout troop did Sunday.

Local troop 8078 met to talk about and show the consequences of bullying and ways to stop it. The troop held a bullying seminar Sunday afternoon at the downtown library. It featured the documentary "Bully" - followed by a panel of guest speakers. The girls hope to teach people to step up and engage to stop bullying, instead of just watching it happen...and doing nothing.

"I hope they take away that there are ways to prevent bullying and they can help," girl scout Sarah Poyer said.

The "Bully" documentary they showed follows real kids through the difficulties of being bullied in everyday life.
