Former Senator Scott Brown Returns to Iowa, Fuels 2016 Speculation

ATLANTA, Georgia Scott Brown is headed back to Iowa.

The Ringgold County GOP confirms to CNN that the former senator from Massachusetts will speak at their April 3rd dinner in Mount Ayr, in the south-central part of the state.

This will be Brown's third tip to Iowa since last summer. He made a swing through the Iowa State Fair last August and returned in November to address a Scott County GOP fundraiser.

Since Iowa's caucuses kick off the presidential caucus and primary calendar, word of Brown's latest visit to the Hawkeye State will spark more speculation that he's considering a bid for the 2016 Republican nomination. Brown told reporters following at the State Fair last August that he was interested in meeting voters in the state.

But Brown also recently moved from Massachusetts to neighboring New Hampshire and is seriously weighing a GOP challenge this year against Democratic Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, who's up for re-election in November.

A GOP strategist in contact with Brown, who asked to remain anonymous to speak freely, told CNN recently that Brown's looking to make a decision about a Senate bid in the next few weeks.
