FAIRBANK, Iowa - A second person has died as a result of a car crash near a Fairbank ethanol plant.

The car flipped several times and jumped a fence before hitting the pipes on Highway 281 Friday morning. Corey Annis, 23, of Fairbank died Saturday as a result of the crash. Brad Higgins, 49, also of Fairbank died at the scene.

Some natural gas did leak, but did not cause a fire or explosion. Workers evacuated the nearby Hawkeye Renewables Ethanol plant as a precaution.
