Fire Damages Several Buildings in Downtown Cassville

CASSVILLE, Wisconsin - Fire has destroyed three buildings and damaged two others in downtown Cassville, Wisconsin.
Grant County Emergency Management spokeswoman Julie Loeffelholz says the fire apparently started in one of the apartments early Tuesday morning. The fire spread to several adjoining buildings. . A café in the center of town is among the businesses destroyed or damaged.
Authorities say that eight apartments have been destroyed and that twelve people have been displaced. The Telegraph Herald reports that no one was injured, but several firefighters have been treated for hypothermia.
The fire comes at a time when the community is also dealing with spring flooding.
