Epic Resurgence: A Flood of Learning

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The 2008 flood is a significant part of Iowa history. But you'd be hard pressed to find a chapter about it in school books just yet.

So a group of teachers at McKinley Middle School decided to create their own lesson plan, that took the flood and made it relevant in math, science, language arts and life. They partnered with the University of Iowa College of Education and Iowa Flood Center to develop the project.
