IOWA CITY, Iowa- Both the Romney and Obama campaigns held dozens of debate watch parties Tuesday night across the state. In Johnson County supporters from both parties watched at their respective campaign offices.

"I think he's sticking to the point," said Keith Steurer, a Romney supporter. "I think it's really going great."

Not suprisingly both sides were claiming victory as the debate wrapped up.

"His policies are in line with the needs of America," said Oliver Hidalgo-Wohlleben, an Obama supporter. "What Romney's putting forward is terrible."

One thing both sides agreed upon was that the town hall format created a better watching experience. The debate appeared to be the main event at many Iowa City bars and even at the UI recreation center.
