CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Iowa Renewable Fuels Association said Monday that sales of E15 gas in Iowa are doing well.

Right now, E15 is priced about 20 cents less per gallon than regular gas. The EPA has approved the gas to be used in cars newer than 2001.

The EPA said the gas is not to be used in motorcycles, heavy-duty engines like boats and snowmobiles, off-road equipment like lawnmowers and chain saws and cars and trucks older than 2000.

E15 pumps are located in Marion, Vinton, Fredericksburg and Baxter.
