DUBUQUE, Iowa - A Dubuque elementary school is enjoying the money students won in a nationwide contest through U.S. Cellular. They also plan to share that money with the less fortunate.

The 35 students at the Dubuque Lutheran School urged parents and friends to cast online votes in their name. The 20 schools with the most votes in the national contest each received $25,000 from the cell phone service provider.

Administrators say they'll use some of the money for technology and building upgrades, but the school won't keep the rest.

"We would like to share some of it by allowing each of our classrooms to decide some charity they would like to help out," LInda Nidd with Dubuque Lutheran School said.

Valley Lutheran High School in Cedar Falls and Immaculate Conception and St. Joseph's School in Gilbertville also won $25,000 each.
